2024年12月5日午前6時頃、突然歩道が爆発し、歩いていた女性が開いた穴に転落した。さらに爆発で吹き飛んだフタが落下し、女性の腕に直撃した。女性は救急車で病院に搬送された。
当局によると、爆発はPluz Energía社が管理する電力供給用の地中ボックスで発生し、電力の過負荷やメンテナンス不足が原因と報告した。これに対し、Pluz Energía社は「この地中ボックスは自社で管理する電力網の一部ではなく、第三者の設置によるものである。」と、主張している。
